A foster parent is facing charges after a 17 year old male in his care called the DHHS hotline on March 19th to report he had been sexually abused. Lincoln Police investigators spoke with the victim who said he had been assaulted by 42 year old Graciano Lopez several times over the last two years
On April 13th, investigators located and interviewed Lopez and developed probable cause to arrest him for 1st degree sexual assault. This is an ongoing investigation and police are working to determine if there are additional victims, including foster children who may have been placed with Lopez.
In addition, Lopez ran a business called Jolly Bean’s Magic Castle at 23rd and North Cotner. that sold kids’ toys, magic supplies, and candy, as well as offered magic shows for parties, singing telegrams, and mime shows.
