A case of littering ends with terroristic threat and weapons charges against a man on April 8th.  Just before 4 p.m., Lincoln Police were called to the McDonald’s at 10th and Saunders Avenue for a disturbance.  A man told police he was stopped at a light at NW 12th and Adams and saw the driver of another vehicle throw trash out of the window.  The victim got out of his vehicle, picked up the litter and put it under the wiper blades of the vehicle belonging to the man who had thrown it out.

The victim was walking back to his vehicle when 48 year old Justin Abercrombie got out and started walking toward him waving a handgun and yelling he was toing to kill everyone inside the vehicle.  This was alarming to the victim as his two children, ages 10 and an infant were inside.

Officers were able to contact Abercrombie y phone who agreed to meet them near 2nd and N Cotner.  Officers say Abercrombe matched the description provided by the victim and a witness.  Police found a 45 caliber handgun on the front passenger seat of his vehicle.

Abercrombe was booked for making terroristic threats and for use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
