An Omaha man will spend five years on probation and ordered to pay a $13,595 fine for misappropriation of postal funds.

In 2020, federal agents began investigating financial irregularities reported at the West Omaha Postal Service Station in Omaha. At the time of the investigation, Hogan was employed as a Lead Sales and Services Associate. Agents reviewed sale activity reports and observed that Hogan had processed an excessive number of refunds and no sales and voided transactions. When interviewed, Hogan admitted to issuing fraudulent refunds and voided transactions and taking the funds for his own use.

This case was investigated by the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General.
