Around 4 a.m. Friday morning, LPD officers were called to a local hospital to investigate a possible assault involving a firearm.  Police spoke with the 38 year old victim who had a would to his right arm from a pellet or a very small caliber firearm.  The victim stated he was walking in the 600 block of West Cornhusker when he felt pain in his arm.  He did not report seeing or hearing anyone in the area at the time.

Officers saw a hole in the sleeve of his leather jacket that matched the area where he was struck on the arm.   His injuries are not life-threatening.

The investigation continues.
