Woman Assaulted With Hatchet By Boyfriend Who Is Facing Multiple Charges

Lincoln Police are investigating a case of domestic assault that happened on February 4th at 10 a.m. near 45th and Randolph.  The victim was at a different location and reported that her boyfriend, 29 year old Nathan Ueding had assaulted her and did not allow her to leave the home for several hours.  She stated she was hit with a hatchet during the assault.  Officers say bruising on her body.  The victim also said she feared for her life.

Officers served a warrant at the house where a hammer and hatchet were found in the bedroom along with other evidence of the assault.

Around 7 p.., officers learned that Ueding was sitting in a vehicle outside of the victim’s workplace.  Officers spoke with Ueding and took him into custody.  He was booked for 2nd Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit at Felony, Strangulation, Terroristic Threats, and 1st Degree False Imprisonment.
