No schedule yet for Nebraska baseball but one player is already receiving preseason honors.
Junior Spencer Schwellenbach was named Preseason All-America Second Team by D1Baseball. Listed on the honor as Utility, he has primarily played shortstop over his first two seasons in Lincoln.
As a freshman, Schwellenbach started 44 games and hit .275 with five home runs. In a COVID-19 shortened sophomore season, he batted .295, including a five game hitting streak to start the season.
Reports indicate that the Big Ten Conference will be playing a league-only schedule that begins in March.
