The final defensive domino fell Friday, and it fell in Nebraska’s favor.
Senior defensive end Ben Still announced on social media he will play an extra season in Lincoln. In his announcement, Stille says he is “Blessed to take advantage of another year to compete with my brothers, coaches, and for the best fans in college football.”

The Ashland-Greenwood grad has seen time in 41 games over his four seasons at Nebraska. In 2020, Stille started all eight games and played well enough to earn Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors.
Stille’s return caps an impressive week for the Blackshirts in seniors safety Deontai Williams, safety Marquel Dismuke, and linebacker Will Honas all announced they are coming back for an extra season. Previously announced Blackshirt returners are senior linebacker JoJo Domann and junior cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.
