Nebraska football needed at least one of the senior safeties to return for 2021 to avoid serious depth and experience issues.
Just two hours after Deontai Williams announced he’ll back back for another season, Marquel Dismuke did the same.
Dismuke made his announcement on social media simple with a short highlight video captioned “I’m coming back”.

Dismuke has started the last 20 games for Nebraska, and has a whopping 40 career appearances. In 2020, he finished fourth on the team with 47 tackles to go with career-highs of 4.0 tackles for loss and four pass breakups.
Dismuke is the third senior and fourth member of the defense to state publicly he’ll be back in 2021, joining Williams, Ben Stille, and Cam Taylor-Britt.
