A 73 year old man is recovering after a violent robbery on January 4th just before midnight at his apartment building at N 25th and Vine. Lincoln Police say the man reported that he was walking into his apartment when he was struck in the head from behind. The man reported being unconscious for some time and when he woke he realized the contents of his wallet and keys were gone.
Officers searched the area and processed the scene. They are asking neighbors to review their security cameras for evidence.
