The winter storm is slowing down traffic in Lincoln, but planes are flying high.
LNK Airport crews have been working since early this morning to ensure flights leave on time.

Spokesperson Rachel Barth says it begins with clearing runways.
“The front of the airport there are sidewalks and we want to make sure they’re not slick for anyone. They’ll work on parking lots. It’s business as usual but it’s busy.”
Another crew of about 11 plan to take over this afternoon.

“The guys have been up early cleaning off the runway, the apron, keeping the streets and sidewalks clean and areas near the industrial park,” Barth says.
Many flights are on time or slightly delayed.
A Chicago flight for this afternoon has been cancelled.
“They kind of prioritize the runways based on commercial aviation and our GA side. We try to maintain the ones that are going to be used today and keep them cleaned as much as possible,” Barth says.
