An arrest is made in a counterfeit cash case. Police were called to the 500 block of Pier 1 around 6 p.m. Monday by a woman who had listed and sold a car online. She identified the buyer as 33 year old Terry Brown who showed up and paid her $1,200 in $20 bills for the vehicle. She later inspected the cash and thought they may be counterfeit. Based on the serial numbers and the feel of the paper, an officer confirmed her suspicion.
With assistance from Nebraska Adult Parole, officers located Brown and the vehicle at a friend’s house. Based on interviews with all people involved, Brown was booked for 1st Degree Forgery.
