LPD Works Saturday Larceny – Sunday Burglary

On Saturday, November 14, 2020, shortly after 7 pm, Lincoln Police responded to a report of a construction site larceny in the 4100 block of Hohensee Drive.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the owner of the construction company, who reported that his construction site cameras and hidden GPS trackers advised that a spool of cooper wire worth about $100.00 had been stolen by individuals driving a grey Kia Sorento.  Officers located the vehicle and three individuals in the 8100 block of Eiger Drive.

Video surveillance showed that these three individuals had stolen the spool of wire from the construction site. Officers cited 21-year old Riley W. Scott, 21-year old Gabriel G. Olivas and 23-year old Mason M. Stark for misdemeanor larceny 

On Sunday, November 15, 2020, shortly after 2:30 am, officers responded to Ace Rent to Own, 2429 O Street, on a report of a burglary.  Officers found the front window shattered with damage estimated around $3,400.  Officers searched the business but were unable to locate anyone.

Employees conducted an initial inventory and determined that approximately 8-10 laptops were stolen with an estimated loss of approximately $4,000.  Officers processed the scene for digital and forensic evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
