On October 17th just before 6 p.m., officers were called to the Taco Bell lot at 3310 N 27th Street on an intoxicated person in the drive-thru arguing with employees. Officers arrived and saw 25-year-old Augustine Kolb and 36-year-old Victoria McGeisey seated in a vehicle in the lot. Management for Taco Bell indicated that the two needed to leave the lot as they had been yelling and causing a disturbance.
Officers worked with Kolb and McGeisey and arranged for the vehicle to be moved and a family member to pick them up. Once the family member arrived, Kolb decided that he no longer wanted to leave and refused to do so. Despite officers multiple attempts to convince Kolb to leave or he would be arrested, Kolb refused and continued to yell and cause a disturbance at the business. Officers placed Kolb into custody and put him in the back of the cruiser. As the officer was placing his seatbelt on, Kolb licked the officer’s face leaving saliva behind. The officer believed that Kolb may have been trying to bite her and immediately exited the cruiser.
When another officer arrived, they opened the door and Kolb began to struggle with officers and was able to exit the vehicle. Officers later learned that Kolb had two outstanding local warrants.
At that time, McGeisey interjected herself and interfered in the arrest of Kolb. After multiple commands to back up and move away from officers, it was determined that McGeisey would be placed into custody. McGeisey struggled with officers, turning her body, pulling her arms away, and resisting being placed into handcuffs. After a struggle, officers were able to take her into custody.
Kolb was arrested for his two warrants, Assault on a Police Officer by Bodily Fluid, Criminal Trespassing, and Obstructing a Police Officer. McGeisey was arrested for Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Police Officer.
