Lincoln Police were called to Schmick’s Grocery at 1340 West O Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday for a robbery. A clerk told police that a man in his 20’s selected three bottles of alcohol and was walking past him towards the door. The clerk stopped the man asking, “Do you want some of this?”, the man motioned to his pants pocket. The clerk saw a bulge in the shape of a handgun with part of a possible weapon sticking out of the pocket.
The clerk backed off and the man ran from the scene.
The loss of alcohol is estimated at about $50. Police processed the scene for evidence and the investigation continues.
