Severe thunderstorms with straight line winds of 75 mph moved through the area Sunday evening causing widespread power outages as well as downed power lines, downed trees and branches.
Even though rain was heavy at times the airport reported just .20 (two-tenths) of an inch of precipitation.
Lincoln Police report all streets are open.
The Lincoln Electric System outage map showed over 12,000 were without power at one point. Outages were largest in three areas near Highway 2, 98th and O, 70th and Pioneers and the Normal and A area.
