Lincoln Police were called to 7th and Rose Street at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on a report of gunshots in the area.
When officers arrived, neighbors were waiting for them and reported hearing several shots and then a vehicle speeding out of the area. Officers found several shell casings in the street but were unable to find damage in the area.
Officers processed the scene and searched the area. They are currently reviewing security footage. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
