The Lincoln Police Department released details for residents wanting to attend the funeral service for Investigator Mario Herrera on Saturday, September 12th at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The service is open to the public and doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The clear bag policy will be in effect inside the arena.
Public Parking is available at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Festival Lot. The public is then asked to walk over the pedestrian bridge to the arena.
The pre-funeral procession will leave Butherus-Maser & Love Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. and travel east on A Street, south on S 48th Street to Normal Blvd. The procession will continue northwest on Normal Blvd toward downtown, turning north on Antelope Valley Parkway and west on N Street. The procession will then turn north on Pinnacle Arena Drive and arrive at the arena.
The post funeral procession will follow Pinnacle Arena Drive north, veering right at N 9th Street to travel south. The procession will then continue south on N 9th Street, turning east on O street, south on S 27th Street, east to Randolph Street and then north on S 40th Street to O Street where it will end.
Capacity numbers will be monitored at the Pinnacle Bank Arena with an overflow area likely available nearby.
