Madsen’s Bowling and Billiards was visited by police Sunday around 10 p.m. to conduct a compliance check. There were reports that customers and staff were not wearing masks inside the establishment.
No citations were issued and the case will be turned over to the Lincoln City Attorney for their consideration.
This follows a long battle the owner of Madsen’s had with the Lincoln – Lancaster Health Department earlier this summer for failing to close following their orders for similar offenses. That case is still pending. Madsen’s owners put a plan in place to reopen that was approved by the Health Department and was allowed to reopen. A hearing on the original misdemeanor charge will be held later this month.
